Arcare Knox and The Lodge are aged care facilities offering luxurious living arrangements for seniors needing permanent or respite care. The Lodge, established in 2015, features 28 private suites, each with an ensuite and access to a private dining room. Well set up and meals served like a restaurant
Cannot speak highly enough of the care given to both of my in-laws by all the staff at "The Lodge". Communication from the staff was always clear and comprehensive, and they were very sensitive to K&J's changing needs and ensured they were met with the highest standards of professionalism and care. We take great comfort from the fact that they were so well looked through all the challenges of Covid and serious illnesses.
Very caring staff and professional, They took my relative as their family, supportive throughout the journey, i would highly recommended to my friends.
My grandparents were here until they passed and it was a terrible experience for them and us. The food was awful, the care staff were quite often rude and uncaring and often couldn't speak English well enough to communicate with my grandparents. My Oma (grandmother) had an awful experience with one of the male carers which because of its severity then had to involve the police. My grandmother who was unable to walk was often left in bed desperate to go to the toilet and ended up soiling herself as the workers took such a long time to get to her. The odd nice worker was overworked and there just weren't enough workers on the roster to care for the residents properly, especially on the weekends with skeleton staff. Directions for specific ways to care for my grandparents from outside doctors or just ways they like to live were ignored, even after constant reminding. If my family were left soiled in bed, with their food and drink on tables they cant reach or even left to feed themselves when they cant hold a utencil, then others probably would have been too. 5 star is an absolute joke. Clearly a time when money comes ahead of the care of the elderly. If children were cared for in such a way people would be charged, so why is the care of our elderly people left to be so poorly dealt with? I wouldn't send a rabid dog to be cared for here, let alone loved ones. I can only hope in the last few years there have been improvements. If we had our time over we never would have had them placed here.
Arcare Knox is better than any other facilities that I have visited. I highly recommended this facility with their good management and caring staffs.
