1.1 About Caring Co

This Platform is operated by Caring Company AU Pty Ltd (trading as Caring Co, "we", "us", "our").

Caring Co helps people understand and navigate aged-care options, including Support at Home (SAH) programs, and residential aged care.

Caring Co is not a home care or residential aged care provider.

All services and care are delivered by independent providers.

1.2 Using the Platform

By using our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information
  • Use the Platform lawfully
  • Not interfere with or misuse the Platform

We may update these Terms at any time.

1.3 No Professional Advice

Caring Co provides general guidance and informational support only.

It is not clinical, legal or financial advice.

1.4 Provider Listings & Marketplace Disclaimer

Provider information, pricing, availability and wait times are supplied by providers or sourced from publicly available data.

We do not guarantee:

  • accuracy
  • availability
  • pricing
  • suitability
  • service quality
  • ratings or recommendations

Providers are responsible for the services they deliver.

1.5 Referral Fees & Commercial Arrangements

Caring Co may receive referral fees or commissions from providers.

1.6 Support at Home & Home Care Package Information

Caring Co may display or help you understand:

  • HCP budgets
  • Support at Home classifications
  • Expected timelines
  • Eligibility pathways

We cannot guarantee approval, wait times, budgets or outcomes.

1.7 User Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under that account.

1.8 Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Caring Co is not liable for decisions made based on Platform information
  • Caring Co is not responsible for any provider's conduct or services
  • Consumer guarantees apply only to the services we provide, not provider services

1.9 Consumer Guarantees

Under Australian Consumer Law, you have rights relating to how services must be delivered.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be excluded.

2. Privacy Policy

Caring Co complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how it is used, and your rights.

2.1 What Personal Information We Collect

  • Information related to HCP or Support at Home

  • Notes from conversations with Care Navigators
  • Residential aged care preferences

For providers, we may collect business and service information.

2.2 Sensitive Information (Health Info)

With your consent, we may collect:

  • medical or health details
  • mobility information
  • functional assessments
  • care needs
  • home environment details
  • social or support background

2.3 Why We Collect Information

We collect personal and health information to:

  • help you understand aged-care options
  • match you with suitable home care or residential aged care providers
  • provide Support at Home and HCP guidance
  • process enquiries
  • allow providers to contact you when requested
  • improve the Platform
  • send relevant updates and communications

2.4 Data Sharing With Providers (Consent Required)

We share your information with providers only when you request it, including when:

  • you submit an enquiry
  • you request a provider to contact you
  • you ask for a comparison shortlist
  • you give verbal consent through a Care Navigator

Only the minimum necessary information is shared (e.g., name, contact details, postcode, care needs).

2.5 Referral Fees Transparency

Caring Co may receive referral fees or commissions from providers.

2.6 Call Recording

We may record calls for training, quality and safety.

  • This is disclosed at the start of the call
  • You may opt out
  • Recordings are stored securely and retained for a defined period

2.7 Analytics, Cookies & Marketing

We use tools such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel for:

  • improving Platform performance
  • measuring engagement
  • advertising and retargeting

You may disable cookies in your browser, although some features may not function as intended.

2.8 Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal and health information from misuse, loss or unauthorised access.

We will notify you of any notifiable data breach as required by law.

2.9 Access, Correction & Deletion

You may request:

  • a copy of your information
  • correction of inaccurate information
  • deletion of your account
