Interestingly, all these reviews are very old!! PLEASE ensure due diligence is undertaken as glossy brochures can be very misleading. We removed our mother from there due to the abhorent lack of care, kindness and empathy. More than one staff member i.e., carers, nurses, verbalised how chronically short staffed they were and how they cannot allocate the time and care that is needed leaving residents unatended for hours. I witnessed first hand a number of incidences which totally shocked me!!! P.S. I had to allocate one star otherwise I couldn't post this!
Great staff, friendly, caring and alert. The new building and upgrades are impressive. A great example of what aged care can look like. Allowing for the maintaining of a lifestyle that doesn't feel like a hospital whilst still considering the medical needs of the residents.
My Mum recently went into the Mercy Aged Care Home reluctantly but it only took 2 days for her to say she loves it. She comes home every weekend to catch up with her family and even tells me not to drop in on her unless she needs something even though I drive right past the home on my way home
I live here, it's a wonderful place to live. The staff are all extremely kind, nothing is too hard for them, and I have heard some very selfish requests whilst sitting in the lounge. If you have a family member who needs care, or is unable to live alone any more, I thoroughly recommend it
My father was here and he was extremely happy here and told me that the staff could not be more attentive and pleasant. He spent a small amount of time in both the Hostel and the High Care area. When he passed the staff were very kind and helpful and made a very difficult time as easy as they possibly could.
