It started off great, however services and staff went down hill towards the end of 2021 and into 2022. So much so, there was a coroners investigation into my fathers death there. Don't be fooled by the pretty decor. I would NEVER recommend this aged care facility to anybody.

My Dad was living in Village Glen at Balaka St for almost 18 months. The care was fantastic in difficult circumstances, especially in the memory assistance part.

My mother had a heart attack on the Friday that we were not aware of. We visited her on the weekend and told staff we thought she was in pain. She had alzheimers. The staff didn’t get her seen by a doctor until the Monday, he diagnosed a heart attack and pneumonia. She passed away later that week. She was often left in bed until 11 am so for over 14 hours a night. They didn’t have the staff to give her a shower any earlier. We said just get her out of bed and sit her in a chair. It didn’t happen. Ate here once , never again, the food was atrocious. Fancy looking place on the surface but don’t be deceived.

Good experience with a smart checkin and checkout system. Just hate those heavy duty P5 masks. Other than the mask, an enjoyable experience
