About our home
TriCare Kawana Waters Aged Care Residence is situated on the banks of the Mooloolah River, providing scenic views in a warm, homely atmosphere. The facility includes well-maintained gardens and various seating areas, both indoors and outdoors.
All meals at the residence are freshly cooked on-site by a chef, with room service available and private dining rooms that accommodate up to four people. A variety of activities such as arts and crafts, music therapy, movie nights, community outings, and gardening are offered to encourage social interaction and active lifestyles. My parents initially went into TriCare Kawana Waters for respite, however they were so happy and well cared for they decided to stay permanently. They are in the original section and although it’s an older building compared to the new section it is more homely and all the staff are wonderful and truly dedicated to the residents care. My parents feel very safe, well supported and included. The admin and staff go out of their way to ensure the residents and their families have peace of mind With the transition of entering a nursing home and with continued care.
Really good facility and specially the manager Karen Gilmour. She’s a lovely lady help the staff and residents to feel comfortable and happy. I like this place when I was working there. Really enjoyed. Thanks Karen.
Would have rated this establishment 4 stars when our mother was self caring. 2 stars now her needs are increasing due to lack of staff. Poor value for a RAD$550,000 & monthly fee of approx.$3,000
It's has 2 levels of accomodation both more than ok. Meals are good and care more than adequate.
My mother has dementia and after 3 years of caring for her I was no longer able to.triare then took over. Every time I visit my mum she is clean and well dressed she gets along well with all of the staff and appears to be quite happy. Instead of being in a traditional place for dementia patients which have the feel of a prison TRICARE have a wonderful secure arrangement using a security bracelet which allows mu mum to wonder the complex safely. I am very happy with the care mum receives and thank the staff there for their care.
