Great Care /fantastic Staff/very homely for the Aged Having to be Cared for in their individual circumstances 👍👍👍👍👍
Unfortunately I have nothing positive to say, my mum went into Regis Birkdale for 2 weeks respite to give my dad (her carer) a break. We expected high care in a memory support unit, of which none was received, on admission they are extremily helpful and caring and offer so much, then once you are in it is pure neglect. Every time we would visit my mum she was covered in bruises, mostly on her head, which they tried to cover with a bandaid (over her eye brow). No supervision in common areas, no nurses ever to be found, literally just no care taken in a high care facility, my dad never got his break as seeing mum like that and not being cared for broke his heart further. Would not recommend going here at all.
if i could give this facility 0 stars i would. Leaving residence to suffer and deteriate without taking any notice is disgusting. to see a close friends family go through what they have is heart wrenching. I believe that more than a handful of people are to blame for the suffering. Absolutely disgusted they are able to operate after the numerous of horror stories from this company.
Send your loved ones here to die within a year. Neglect on a disturbing level. This place is all about making the most money they can off your loved ones and giving them the least amount of attention and care. It was all too late for my family as we were kept in the dark about how unwell our loved one was and she unfortunately passed away hours after they finally called an ambulance for her. She was left in her room to Rot and turned septic. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE I BEG YOU!!
My Dad has been there for a year now and I have been very happy with everything they have done for him. The staff in both admin and nursing including volunteers have been so supportive of Dad and also me when changes to his health have occurred. The chefs have a great variety of food. I would highly recommend Regis Birkdale to anyone who wants the best of care for their parents or partners.
