Jacaranda House Hostel, part of Maddocks Gardens, is a 41-bed facility designed for residents with complex needs, dementia, and the Aboriginal population. The facility includes both single and double rooms, outfitted with high-quality furnishings and décor. It provides extensive gardens with pathways and a large BBQ area for outdoor activities.
The care team comprises physiotherapists, nurses, personal care attendants, and leisure staff, collaborating with GPs and a residential in-reach service. Residents benefit from a wide range of services including an activities program, in-house laundry, dietary catering, and various therapies. Safety features include CCTV and a nurse call system. Mum is well looked after by the friendly and obliging staff. Good food and service. She has a lovely spacious clean room looking out onto a patio facing east, right behind Bairnsdale Regional Hospital. The layout of the nursing home is appealing. Outdoor garden area is well set up for resident participation; raised garden beds. Interactive areas; a concert area and large screen area in Sutherland Lodge. 👍
The staff at Maddocks Gardens were amazing for my Grandma and our family. I cannot thank them enough for the kind and nurturing care that my Grandma received. They all went above and beyond to keep her content and comfortable right up until the very end. The staff were caring and supportive for our family. Will 100% recommend Maddocks Gardens to anyone looking for aged care.
