Beautiful new facilities. Thanks for caring for my uncle.
Staff are very caring and the home is modern, clean and comfortable
Beautiful clean rooms, fantastic staff, amazing food, what more could you want
New wing is excellent. Rooms are standard hospital fare. But there are good areas where people can have time with relatives with indoor and outdoor sitting areas.
I felt compelled in my heart to write regarding my mother’s stay at Holmwood for a time before she died. Her name was Lesley *****. I never got to visit her all that often because of the 7 hour return trip, and would usually visit only when I could do some other business in Healesville at the same time. I suppose I visited only about 5 or 6 times, but each time I visited I noted the level of improvement in mum’s health and the great service I could observe her receiving from all staff. I never saw her mistreated at any time (as you often here from media outlets about others) and noted also that even though mum was a rather hard case to get on with, they all still showed the utmost love and respect for her; this was obvious to me. Believe me, had she been mistreated, she would surely have told one of us, but she only had good things to say about the staff. When mum died, one of your staff called me (darn, I forget her name now sorry but she knows who she is) and was very compassionate in her address to me. I really appreciated that. A few hours later when I finally arrived at Holmwood she was still on duty and was the one to let me in at 10pm. She gave me a drink and we talked for about 30 minutes I reckon and she was very consoling and understanding. She does her job well. Thanks whoever you are for that. Another that stood out to me was Ben, who always made me feel welcome and at times I think he went beyond the call of duty to provide information relative to my mother. Anyway, I should not really single out particular staff as from my vantage point all were great. Thanks so much all of you. So again I thank you all for your good service to my mother while she was in your care, and I can only hope that when my time might come for such care, they might be of the same caliber of those staff at Holmwood.
