Minus 1 star. Terrible experience. For 1 year we watched mum sometimes be cared for, only most Enrolled Nurses were great, rest let her attempt to spoon her food at mealtimes, often resulting in no food successfully being eaten, despite numerous requests for assistance from my father. On her actual passing, dad got a well done your account is at a balance of $0...not one word of condolences. Disgusted.

Whatever you do, do not send you loved ones here. The staff are rude, unprofessional and heartless. I would give the place zero stars if possible.

My mother was rushed to hospital from good Shepard on my directive at 5.30 on Wednesday 11th of may. The nurse was wonderful she is in palliative care and I'm sitting at her bedside waiting for her to pass. The sad thing is they didn't pack any clothes so my mothers is dying and has nothing to wear,I wanted to pick her belongings up and Amanda in accounts and Rachael have stopped me on my brothers orders saying he is NOK number1 and I'm number2 so I mean nothing. so my poor mum is dying and has no clothes all because they are listening to someone who has had all his authority taken away from him by QCAT. And hasn't bothered even seeing his dying mother And they are still charging her but won't let me in to collect her belongings Please study who looks after your loved ones as this place is cruel to the dying but keep collecting money well done Amanda in accounts and Rachael who hung up on me the hospital and my mother are so glad you won't let her die with dignity

Does not matter what day or time I visit Mum she is always clean, happy and the staff are just amazing. We waited two years to get Mum in because it's just such a great nursing home.

If you have an elderly parent or relative that needs to be well looked after becuse of dementia, fragility, ageing, or other unfortunate happenings in their final life journey, 'Good Shepherd Lodge' is the place for them. Friendly, and experienced Staff around the clock, roomy and air conditioned, lots of gardens, resting spots, professionally prepared meals, OT, physio, etc. A very clean and welcomed Lodge for elderly to stay, live meet and make friends there😊I know because I've done my study/ work Vocational Placement at the 'Good Shepherd'. Units for residents are lovely so they can feel like at home. I also believe that you also could have a little pet there?
