When searching and viewing numerous facilities for a suitable aged care facility for my elderly mother, at times I felt an overwhelming sense of dread and deep anxiety in hoping to make the correct assessment on her behalf. Thankfully I can share that i feel deeply indebted to all of the staff at Estia Health Werribee for the wonderful standard of care and patience that they have displayed at all times towards my precious mother. Despite many lengthy and exhaustive difficulties and challenges Mum has presented throughout her residency at this aged care facility combined with the additional stress from lockdowns, covid infections, etc, that the residents and staff have had to endure ongoing, I cannot praise any higher the remarkable work that all the staff do each day. And always with a smile and encouargement for both the residents and their families. The difficulties and challenges that my mother presents them with due to her declining cognitive abilities, her challenging deameanor and physical restrictions is intensive and yet their actions and responses are beyond reproach. It is far from a perfect world for our loved ones in the last chapter of their lives yet the genuine affection and empathy displayed by the staff towards my dear Mum is heartfelt and I am enternally grateful for their efforts.
Easier to break a person out of prison than to get a family member out for an outing.
Unwelcoming atmosphere. Could never find a staff member to talk to. No outings for residents, limited activies. No photos of residents participating in site activities available. It would be nice to see what your loved one gets up to when your are not there.
Inadequate staffing. Poor communication with residents and families. No outings or minimal activities for resident's to partake in. Mostly pcas.. Not enough nurses to care for resident's. Unwelcoming environment.
Great staff. Always friendly . very good with the old people
