Nursing Staff are very rude. Shift manager has no hold on staff. Not getting enough hours and they call staff from outside to cover the shifts. But not giving shifts to staff already working. No good management.

I couldn't have asked for a better place for Mum to spend her final time. From working around her dietary requirements and food preferences, to the love and support both Mum and I were shown throughout the whole time, but especially during Mum's final weeks. Aged care is never going to be perfect, the management and staff at Cottage Grove come close.

Too often today you hear about the neglect stories in aged care but never the positive experiences . For a family it is never an easy decision to make transferring the care of a loved one to someone else. From day one Cottage Grove staff put out family at ease. With a mum suffering Alzheimer’s and cancer we knew she was vulnerable but quickly settled in and got to a point where she was fearful of having to leave. It became her home away from home and the carers her extended family. Their communication was excellent and at no time was a request too difficult for them to accomodate. After two years of beautiful care my mum Anne sadly passed away at the facility. Even that process was dealt with such dignity and grace with lovely memories to cherish. Heartfelt thanks to everyone there for treating our mum as if she were their own. Jacqui Cameron x

Our Mum has been at Cottage Grove for three years. The staff are welcoming, the quality of care and food is consistently very good. There are daily activities, with support from the neighbouring Uniting Curch, though not just for the religious. The layout is more like a home than a hospital, with opportunities for interaction. Management in Aged Care sets the standard of care, and the management here is very resident centred. They have been fantastic during this time of the pandemic, with strict but fair rules to protect the residents.

Friendly staff that has made my grandmother feel safe welcomed and comfortable for the past 3-6 months during a time of change in our families lives. Thank you to the friendly teams at ECG. Clinton Pollheim.
