The only positive is there is a small handful of beautiful staff.. However all the women in management rolls have a lack of compassion for family, poor communication skills with many emails left with no response and phone calls not returned and 0 respect for the residents wishes. I have been continually giving feedback and given false hope that their behaviour would change. Very sad that I went from visiting daily to now feeling sick by the thought of having to make any contact and visitations have been made uncomfortable and most of the time impossible. Ultimately my loved one has suffered most, after loosing his wife he has sat like a zoo animal, only attended to when he needs assistance with meals or bathroom visits. This facility needs to be assessed by the royal commission!! DO NOT MAKE YOUR LOVED ONES SUFFER IN THEIR HANDS ** edit. 6months past the response and again I have waited over 24hrs for an email. I have recieved 0 updates on my loved one & wasn't even contacted when he was transferred to the hospital in a critical condition, even AFTER confirming wks before that I am still primary contact.

I get good care and attention and any help that i need. I'm very happy with the activities that i go to such as exercises, bingo and roller cricket(my favorite). All the nurses are nice and helpful and the food is enoyable.

I have worked at Opal in Denhams beach for more than 4 years. And all I can say about my experience at Opal was fantastic and memorable. It was my first job and I learnt so much from this place. I would strongly recommend this place for work. I would really thank you and appreciate the support, career growth and professional development that has been offered to my by management team and I love to thank my fellow RN’s who were always helpful and supportive. Thank you to all the other team members for making my journey joyful and memorable.
