Dad has been there for a little while and the residents are happy to chat, Manager's are very approachable however Dad and I find the nurses to be lacking in the art of conversation and seem disinterested. There are very few "hello's" however of course not all of them are like this. Cleaning and "tea" staff are really great and listen to special requests. Staff do not wear name badges (which I believe is part of the Aged Care law) which is really annoying as it would be nice to know who you are talking to. Rooms big and gardens lovely.

GREAT place! My mum has been here for alm 2 years! GLAD I got her in here after her old, NFP care home went out of business! Then COVID hit, and I was GLAD she was in a GOVT. run nursing home, run as a part of the state hospital system! All staffed by SENs & RNs, no PSAs etc. All the infection control, gear and cleaning as needed, as it is budgeted by the State Govt. NOT a for profit business, where cutting corners got over 800 people DEAD! A GOOD nursing home with great, well trained staff, good facilities and good, selectable, nutritionist menued food choices. All cooked by chefs @ their head office in Kingston! I have eaten the food, they often eat BETTER than me! Recommended if you have a relative that needs high aged care and that is Covid safe! Being govt, all Is are crossed & ts are dotted!

Awful the staff do not understand basic English . The usual response is I don't know I'm just the career . As the carer one would know... Then the staff are happy to stand and chat in their own language laughing etc.yet too busy to help.. Pts asking to get dresses in clothes yet are told to wear sleepwear.

Worked there for a few months as part of my PSA training. Eye opening, the realisation that older psych patients have to go somewhere... Great place to train in. Staff very “catty” !!!
