Not a good place for students to do their placements. I started my placement at cadorna house on Monday. But it didn't go well as I expected. The registered nurse she works in evening shift she doesn't know how to speak with someone. Furthermore, I was there to do my placements. ( RN) She wanted me to clean their toilets and also wanted me to take the all rubbish bins out. She is Very disrespectful and unprofessional nurse. I am very disappointed. At least they should have refund my hard earned money(250 dollars).

Our Mum, who is 90, moved in full time this year, after a couple of periods of respite care. She couldn't be happier, and receives excellent care. We recommend this excellent facility to anyone seeking personal care, They have 30 residents and 45 staff, including 3 nurses. Wonderful place. Phill and Sally Fent

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to do my placement at Cadorna House. My experience at the facility was very positive as the staff were professional and showed a high level of competency while providing empathetic care to the residents. The nurses and carers I was partnered with were invested in my learning and were always happy to answer my questions. The staff at Cadorna House helped me broaden my understanding of nursing and I am very grateful to have been given the opportunity to learn there. Thank you to everyone at Cadorna House

Feedback was received from two University of Tasmania students, who completed their placement with us at Cadorna in February 2022. Their Fieldwork Coordinator passed on the below message: "I’d like to mention feedback from both students this past placement has been very positive. They enjoyed the responsibility of caring for their allocated residents and felt it was a great learning experience. Please pass this on to the staff as we can see they are very well supported throughout their clinical placements at Cadorna House."

Not a good place for students. No matter If you are giving your 100%, if your work buddy didn’t like 1 thing about you he/she will give a bad feedback to office. And the office lady named “Sue” will not even ask about you from others. She will only believe in one person instead of asking from other staff. I attended my volunteer placements here but was very disappointed in my last week. As one of my work buddy said I refused to go to laundry and yes I refused because the way she told me was not acceptable(rude).
