Don't bother applying for a job here...very unprofessional and rude, the negative reviews here trully reflects this place... Place is run by very young and inexperienced kids, who need a good lesson in mannerisms and professional behaviour.... It would trully suit sponsorships and carers new to the industry... BUPA LOOK AT WHO'S RUNNING YOUR AGED CARE FACILITIES.... Just appalling

My father has been a resident at Bupa St Ives for several years. Our family is very happy with the quality of care. The clinical staff are terrific, especially Registered Nurse, Honey Maharjan, the Clinical Care Manager, Rubi Adhikari, and Dr Harsh Aggarwal, who are proactive in their recommendations and communication with our family. It makes for a good team in looking after Dad.

My dad only moved in a couple of weeks ago, our experience so far has been well beyond what I would have ever hoped for. The facilities are modern, well designed, spacious, with plenty of natural light and well arranged outdoor spaces. The systems are well structured, thought through and organised with staff achieving a high level of compliance while applying a sensible degree of judgement when needed. The staff are both competent and deeply caring, creating a warm and loving environment. I could not imagine a better home for my dad.

My mother has been at the home for the last 3 years. I could not fault the care and kindness shown to her and my family. The communication between the home and family is also exceptional.

The staff are very helpful, and will always respond to requests and queries, and get back to me in a timely manner. I saw on another review that claimed the staff at the front desk do not speak English. This is incorrect - yes most of the staff are not from Australia but they all speak English and are very polite and pleasant. They look for something that interests the resident and encourage this. My mother used to love gardening, but was shy to be part of their gardening club and difficult with her dementia, so one of the carers bought some pot plants and took her to the garden herself so the 2 of them could do it together. The food is average, soup, a hot roast and 3 veg, and some sort of dessert it seems like every lunch and dinner. The facilities are neat and presentable, they have hairdressing facilities and have been doing my mothers hair colour during Covid lockdown, with a nice result. Bupa put on group entertainment, quizzes, group exercise etc for those that want to participate. Sometimes Mum's bedside table is dusty and I wipe it myself, but the bathroom, floors and other horizontal surfaces are clean. I have found my mother to be quite happy there.
