Amanda is a fantastic Bupa representative. She called back quickly with an invitation to tour the facility. We needed a bit of help navigating registration and RAT tests - Amanda was right beside us. Entering aged care can be confronting and stressful. Amanda is understanding, patient and compassionate. Thank you!
Despite this being a bupa aged care this was previously named Rockley or somthing before bupa took over. Some staff did not uphold the bupa values, when I was there as witness to some of the toxic workplace culture. I was told those certain individuals in their clicky groups were pre bupa staff that don't move on
My wife was put into respite at This branch of Bupa while I had a procedure,she was only in for a period of 9 days during this time she developed a pressure sore on her heal which was not picked up at Bupa it has developed into a very bad ulcer which is being treated in hospital still 3 week's now, also 5 article's of her clothing was lost have not heard back,regarding her clothing.
MY father was admitted into the facility around a week and a half ago. The family was concerned how he would take this but aside from a few hiccups along the way it has all gone really well. He likes the food (big plus), his room, the staff and the staff are very considerate with him. This is a godsend for my mother in particular, we owe a special debt of thanks to Anne Marie she has assisted in so many ways since dad first went in and is a credit to Bupa Norths Rocks. Thanks to all for your support during a fairly traumatic time for us over the last couple of weeks.
Don't send your relatives / loved ones here, not if you want they're clothes mis-placed and "lost", tv remotes stolen (when they recovered it, it was for the wrong TV, even though it had a name label) Dentures stolen, left lying on the bathroom floor with a broken hip until mid morning, but on the upside, at least you get tea & biscuits and staff and who have commonly left medicine cabinets unlocked. Hope this review is read, unless it's not taken down so only the 5 star reviews are seen. Pretty sure as well this facility was named in the 2017 - current government inquiry into Aged Care
