My father is a resident here & the lack of care & compassion is disgusting 😔 Even to point my dad sharing a bathroom with covid + residents He has an accident rings buzzer waits over an hour for help 🤬👎 And to add the disgusting food he is served everyday 🙄
Respectful. As a person ages and their independence and mental capacities reduce, it's easy to fall into the trap of being patronising. ... Empathetic. Empathy is one of the most important qualities any carer needs to have. ... Reliable. ... Patient. ... Sunny. ... Practical. ... Observant. ... Caring.
Colton Close offered the very best caring service for my mother, from the patience of the Admin: staff, to the nurses and all the support staff, mum got the best attention possible, under the very difficult circumstances, sure the meals were not always great, but Colton catering staff always offered an option, mum's room was always clean, and I never noticed un-clean linen. Due to the ratio of Carers/nurses to residents, families of residents must comprehend the extenuating circumstances and visit their loved ones more often, keeping in constant control of medical and hygiene requirements, like we did, and the staff were always happy to comply. THANKS very much to ALL staff at Colton, for looking after my mother, and being so extremely supportive when mum passed away.
Would definitely not recommend this place. My mother was in for over 4 weeks and never had her sheets changed. Meals half the time were cold. Once was given cold meat and salad for dinner. Photo attached. Only half decent thing was some of the very caring staff.
Great clinical care, friendly staff, good food - lots of choice. Lifestyle coordinator Jade absolutely fantastic and my mother just adores her
