My mother-in-law spent 18 months at Aurrum ending 1-3-2023 my wife and I would recommend them to anyone we found them very compassionate and professional signed . Arthur & Dianne Allen.
AVOID THIS HORRIBLE PLACE Residents here are BORED. We to took my grandmother out. The only activities they are offered is a game of bingo or cards. Their other option is to sit in their room and watch tv. If you don't visit your relative and take them outside for some fresh air, they will rarely see the light of day. The Activities/lifestyle program is pitiful. Every resident we made conversation with lamented how bored they were. Staff at Aurrum, MAKE AN EFFORT. MAKE A FREAKING EFFORT. Anyone looking for reviews. Go elsewhere. Baptcare, Vasey.... Something more homely that will keep residents busy and happy. Look into their lifestyle programs. Aurrum looks like a hotel. But it's stiff, stale, and boring. Residents do not like it here. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE. Staff are aware of what a terrible place this is. Mismanaged. Nothing organised so that residents can continue to enjoy their lives. They go into a state of decline from being bored out of their brains and unstimulated. Thank God we have taken my grandma out of this institution.
Finding an aged care facility for a loved one, whether it is for a short stay such as Respite Care or permanent placement is a very stressful and daunting prospect. However my sister and I found that the staff at Aurrum Plenty made it an enjoyable experience, proving plenty of information, answering all our questions and showing us alternative but suitable accommodation. If anyone is needing to find aged care facilities for their loved ones I highly recommend Aurrum Plenty. A special thanks to Anita for all her assistance and knowledge she provided us.
My mother in law has been at Aurrum in Plenty for the past six months. During this time she has put on 2 Kilo's, is more mobile, healthier and looks five years younger than what she did before she went in. The staff are extremely friendly and caring. The food, facilities and activities are excellent. The room that she is is an average room for the facility but it is roomy, well air conditioned, clean and very comfortable. Her medication is administered every day, her health monitored and receives ongoing physio. We looked at other aged care facilities but Aurrum in Plenty looked better and it is better. I can't recommend Aurrum enough for an older person who can no longer look after themselves in their own home.
Having worked in Allied Health field within Aged Care for many years, I was extremely impressed with Aurrum Plenty when visiting recently. Staff were wonderful, friendly & alawys professional.
