This aged care facility, does not even deserve 1 star. Unfortunately, I had to put , at least 1 star . This , is the worst Aged Care Facility. Staff are backstabbing & uncaring & very toxic . All the staff , are also very unsupportive as well. Management are also backstabbing , uncaring & very toxic. All the management , are also very unsupportive as well. Management, really do not care , about staff & residents. The whole facility , is very backstabbing , uncaring & very toxic . Also very unsupportive. I highly recommend, to never work here , or let alone , have a family or friend , stay here. Unfortunately, I spent 3 months here , worst 3 months , of my life. When I was treated VERY HORRIBLY, by all the staff & also treated VERY HORRIBLY by all of the management.

This is the worst place i have ever seen in my life. The management can't change their repute by giving 5 stars to themselves. I know people are busy and they cannot look after their parents at home due to high need of care, but please at least find a better option. This place will take your money but will not give anything in return to the residents. The shortage of staff is ridiculous. The management is useless. My aunt was there and finally she has passed away with the terrible experience. She told me about one male staff who works at night, he has been very nice to her, and his name is George. But every month they will have new staff members because they cannot even appreciate the staff enough so they can stay back and work for them. I have seen few staff members who were lovely, but they all have been resigned and i am happy for them because Aurrum do not deserve them. This place is not worth a penny.

Management and reception giving themselves 5 stars to bring the overall rating up says alot. The facilities are beautiful but the staffing shortage is ridiculous, unhappy residents, poor communication and a general lack of care from management. They can't keep staff long enough for the residents to even learn their names.

I rarely make public posts but the truly wonderful and reassuring experience I have had with Aurrum Aged Care Erina management and staff induced me to make an exception. From my first contact with the Client Services Manager Michelle Hughes, to Kerrie at reception, Jayvee the Care Manager North Wing and Michelle Activities Coordinator we have received exceptional support, professional guidance, advice and understanding as we found a room for my sister. It’s been a traumatic past couple of years in which my sister suffered 2 strokes, lost her husband and unable to live independently at home. The staff at Aurrum Erina have made the transition and new life to be as comfortable as we were hoping for. A huge thank you Aurrum Erina.

During my 5 years at Aurrum Terrigal Drive and Erina working as a Chef I have always felt appreciated by my Manager. We work as part of a great team who provide excellent quality meals to our residents from fresh ingredients with desserts, soups and stocks from scratch.
