This service has been flagged as engaging in predatory and nefarious behaviour by MyAgedCare staff themselves. ANZAC Lodge rely on people not being able to navigate the aged care system and their conduct, including their responses to Google reviews, is unprofessional and deceptive. Don’t risk your loved one’s safety with a service like this when there are safe, professional options available in the area.

I called to organise a tour of the place, before we had even gone to see it they accepted my dads code which locked out other providers from seeing his details (super dodgy and predatory behaviour). I asked them to revoke it which they did, a week later they had accepted it again without even any communication between us. This delayed my dad getting the care that he needed. Staff were rude when trying to speak to them about this matter. Stay well away EDIT AFTER RESPONSE: This is a very interesting response given every other provider I spoke to (over 10) advised me that they are able to view the referral codes without accepting them. More lies from a disreputable facility. I indicated to Lynn after the first time that you locked them that accepting it locks other providers out, although she did it anyway. Why is it that your staff do not know how to view it without accepting it? Sounds to me like it’s either incompetence or insufficient training, either way I wouldn’t want my loved one to be in a facility run by incompetent people or people with insufficient training.

CARMELO Barbante 64 points 2 days ago The Administration staff is overall absolutely incompetent. There is a high turnaround of administration staff and care staff and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing so to speak. Anzac Lodge should be investigated in relation to the following: 1. Qualifications of care workers. 2. Over medicating high care residents so that they remain doped up and do not require being cared for. 3. Not adequately attending to personal hygiene of residents who can remain soiled for hours on end. 4. Overprescribing medication and not adequately accounting to the relatives of residents or to their legal guardians as to the cost of medication. 5. Failing to explain and investigate the disappearance of brand new unused clothing and other products purchased by relatives. Anzac Lodge dismisses the disappearance of items as being due to theft by residents and dismissing the possibility of theft by employees. 6. Most employees including administration staff speak inadequate English and cannot be be understood . 7. Quality of food is sub standard. Anzac lodge should be completely disregarded as a nursing home for your loved ones. Anzac Lodge is hopelessly incompetent. Anzac Lodge cannot be trusted with the welfare of your loved ones. My warning to all is to carry out your due diligence and look elsewhere for a nursing home for your loved ones. POST SCRIPT NOTE: The response below from Anzac Lodge is self serving, misleading and meaningless. The action of Anzac Lodge and how it conducts its business do not align with the reply appearing below. You will be making a dreadful mistake of having your loved ones admitted to Anzac Lodge. Don’t make the same mistake I made putting my deceased mother into Anzac Lodge. ************************ Response from the owner 13 hours ago Hi Carmelo, Thank you for taking the time to express your experience although it saddens us to hear that you didn’t feel we delivered to your expectations. On behalf on myself and sister Alex, we would both like to thank all of management, nurses, and personal care workers at Anzac lodge for the care and support provided to our father Boris Kociski. We both would also like to thank the lifestyle team for providing activities suited to his cultural background. Our father settled in really well at Anzac Lodge from day of admission, which was reassuring for him, and it was comforting to see our father had made some good friends along the way. Our father also enjoyed the meals provided so we would also like to extend our gratitude to the kitchen staff. I highly recommend Anzac Lodge to anyone looking for an aged care home, you are in good hands based on our experience.
