I have emailed you twice requesting information on our Alec’s current health condition. If you need to verify my credentials speak to the person I have mentioned in my emails, Mr Hanson who is Alec’s power of attorney. Thank you or caring for Alec but please remember relatives need care, support and compassion as well. Kind Regards Eileen.

Our dad has lived at Akooramak for the past few years, prior to which he was receiving home care services through Akooramak as well. While he loved the visits from the home care staff, the long hours between them and his declining health meant he needed to move into full time care. That was when he really started to thrive. From the time he moved in he was welcomed and happy there, commenting to his family on many occassions that "I couldn't be anywhere better, it's like a little bit of heaven being here". We know that it wasn't the size of his room, the decor or the fantastic food, it was the people and how they cared for him as a person, knew his likes and dislikes and spent the time to chat to him and cater to his particular quirks. We cannot thank the staff of Akooramak enough for walking with us through the last years of our father's life as we, his family, were unable to care for him full time. Right to the end their care was terriffic, even extending to us as we sat with him through his final hours. Knowing the demands of your work roles and the burden of criticism levelled at "the aged care sector" in general currently, we want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank all the staff there who daily care for many people and their families and who we always found very friendly and welcoming.

Fantastic care and wonderful caring staff. My family member has been at Akooramak for 12 months and we couldn't be happier with the support and care provided.
