About our home
Highercombe is a two-storey residential aged care facility situated in Hope Valley, South Australia. It provides accommodation for 126 residents, offering 101 standard high and low care places, 15 extra service high care places, and 10 transitional care places. The facilities include air-conditioned common areas, a hairdressing salon, a clinic, a gymnasium, and a wellness/hydrotherapy room.
Outdoor amenities feature landscaped gardens with water features and seating areas. Various activities are available to residents, including exercise programs and social events. Quality aged care, well organized and loving , competent staff. Highly recommended.
No care for elderly with medical problems, staff what they have appear poorly trained food is good.
You hear horror stories but not coming from here. Great staff, great facilities and great operation. Communication is excellent - even during Covid
I placed my mother in Highercomb as she was living with Liver cancer and needed medical care I couldn't give her.. the staff in administration and on the ward were caring, empathic and totally understanding of mum's needs.. they looked after Mum so well.. I can't fault them on anything.. My Mother wasn't an easy person to please and she didn't want to go into residential care but just after a month Mum didn't want to be anywhere else .. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who helped to look after Mum while in Highercombe
Lack of staff , are always making excuses. Inadequate care. Father fell over and he was left on floor as carer/nurse was busy and would come back ,mean while he is on floor ,and this is how your treated at end of life.
