My aunt is a resident at Opal Tweed. I found this facility to be first class.The catering is exceptional. Their staff are equipped to care for someone in high needs like my aunt who has dementia and physical disability. The manager is truly qualified in all levels. They are security conscious and have protected my aunt from the predatory advances of a 'Tweed Heads' local. My aunt's welfare is of their paramount concern. I recommend this facility to anyone in need of their service.
All staff are so amazing. Management and kitchen.cleaners.Rns.carers,gso's,maintenance, Cafe ihope I haven't forgotten anyone. It's such a great team. And most of all the best residence any aged care could ask for oh also admin
My friend is a resident here and she is very unhappy!! Management refuse to speak to her about her problems and treat her with utter contempt!! I think prisoners in jail are treated better!! The abuse from some of the staff is ignored!! Think carefully before sending your loved ones there!!

I currently have my issues regarding this facility with the Aged Care Commissioner. I will certainly be making a submission to the Aged Care Royal Commission regarding my mothers' experience. I'd suggest anyone considering Aged Care to do their homework. I would never recommend a Nursing Home for the care of a loved one unless it was absolutely necessary and the last possible resort.
