The Chauncy Unit is a 95-bed residential aged care facility offering high care, low care, and dementia-specific accommodations. It features a large central lounge/dining area with garden views, and two private sitting rooms. There is an extensive garden with a gazebo and raised vegetable beds, as well as a shaded central courtyard.
The facility includes a large activities room used for group events such as concerts and morning teas. Additional amenities include a chapel serviced by visiting religious officials and a hair salon for visiting hairdressers. These facilities and programs provide a supportive and engaging environment for residents.

No Accommodation fee for respite
You will only pay the Basic daily fee and may pay an additional services fee.
Concessional residents welcome
The Pioneers Lodge supports eligible government funded residents with subsidised fees.
Instead of paying a RAD you can choose to pay a Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) which is a non-refundable daily fee, based on the room price and the maximum permissable interest rate set by the Department of Health and Aged Care.
