My Father H. B. Street was a Charge Nurse at this property formerly, Saint John's Hospital. He once organised the Nurses shifts & was in charge of & he also nursed his own Mother to the end of her life there. The building site provides many memories.
My mother was in Bupa aged care in South Hobart, she passed away last August 2020, shortly before SCC took over. About 6 weeks after they took over I received an account for her ongoing stay. I called them up thinking its a mistake, the girl apologized and said she would fix it. Its June now and although I have called them and emailed them probably 10 times,I have never even received a call back. I still receive emails as though she is still a resident. I find this very hurtful and distasteful in the extreme. I put off writing a review for 10 months, but I have had it. No recommendations from me.
I absolutely love this place so much that as part of my course in aged care. I had work placement here for three weeks in April and may. It was such an experience learning and gaining knowledge from training as a carer in rosary gardens. The staff were amazing and I enjoyed engaging and interacting with the residents. Was well worth it and so rewarding as you giving back to the community and help the elderly in need. A very important part as your duty of care. I recommend rosary the most incredible place to work.
As a past worker at Rosary Gardens I can recommend the caring attitude of others staff and management. High standard compared with others I have dealings with. Highly recommend.
