Elegance on top of elegance. Coincidently across the road from a cemetery, ironically impossible to get into unless you booked the plot 75 years ago. Strewn with cafes, water gardens, spacious corridors and a lobby to rival a 5 start hotel. The short walks around the neighborhood come with the most stunning city views to the west and ocean views to the east. The service for guests seemed very friendly and the residents I encountered were equally personable. If ever there was a God's waiting room, this is where you want it to be.
A luxurious Retirement Complex, built on the grounds of former Vaucluse High School. Its very well equipped and maintained. 1st class facilities - cafe, restaurant, terrace relaxation area, art room as well as a cinema and indoor pool. A 24hr concierge and nurses on stand by. The downside is that it is located immediately across the street from a cemetary.
Dinner at the restaurant, could not believe the food, every delicious succulent moment. One of the best meals I have ever had. All gluten free and a taste sensation. When at this end of town my favorite place to eat.
My experience was a temporary respite of 10 days which was a first for me whilst my wife was interstate. I can only say that the ambience of the facility was amazing and particularly the staff were attentive and genuinely caring. My stay was enjoyable and it is comforting to know I can be well looked after in the future when my wife needs a break of her own.
The interior designing of the building is well done. Let see either it will understand the needs of elderly with Alzheimer and other mental illness. Hopefully, the resident will get the holistic approach with person-centred care. The mission of this facility has inspired me working as a nurse.
