Tried calling for information and was on hold for 10 minutes before I gave up. Place looks ok but without being able to talk to someone at 1pm on a Friday afternoon I would worry what care would be like on a weekend.
I used to live in Basin View in 1969 for 5 years then moved to Sanctarry Point. 2540.
I have an elderly friend that lives here & the unit is comfortable and affordable for a single man on his own.
My mother in law is in IRT and pays a fortune to be there @$1,100 a week, she is in a low care facility where they only have 1 carer to accommodate 9 residents and don't get me wrong the carers are lovely but it's not fair to put so much responsibility on 1 person!! Last night my mother in law who has Alzheimer's and has recently started to decline wandered out the gate and luckily was seen by another residents grandaughter driving past her on another street at 6.30pm in the rain, dark and could alerted the staff. Why do they have a code to get in and a bloody green button to push to get out?? My 4 year old grandson knows green is for go! It's ridiculous who came up with that bright idea? And the food is sub standard also. please don't get me wrong the staff do an amazing job but I feel for the money not only my MIL is paying and other residents to stay there, I feel management cut corners big time. If I could have it my way I would remove her from there asap. Not happy with the service we recieve it seems to be all about the dollars not the people who live and work there!
Grandparents live here... community seems lovely. They have a great house for retirement... much larger than normal... they are over the moon about this place!!!
