RIP my most precious and dearest Mother 01/05/2021. I do not recommend Symes Grove Nursing Home due to many highly contentious reasons. My experience with this nursing home has been deeply traumatising for me and I will never set foot in the building again. I could not even pack up my Mother's belongings. She only resided in the home for approximately 13 weeks or so. On a completely separate issue: When checking my Mother's, "My Aged Care" portal, my Mother's nursing home has been recorded as Anglicare Southern Qld, ST MARTIN'S Residential Aged Care Taigum, 304 Roghan Rd Taigum 4018. This was lodged incorrectly by ?? Mother was actually a resident of Anglicare Southern Qld, "SYMES GROVE TAIGUM" nursing home located at 314 Church Rd Taigum 4018 - even if for only 13 weeks. When I rang to update My Age Care a couple of times they advised me that they couldn't adjust the incorrect name & address. I rang many times without success and eventually gave up due to being overwhelmed with distrust in the whole system.
A truly wonderful facility with a fantastic caring staff.
