About our home

Blackwood Cottage is a specialised aged care home catering to a maximum of 15 residents with mental health issues. It features a 60 square meter common area equipped with television and stereo, a 26 square meter dining area, and a 30 square meter covered barbeque area. The facility also includes a 300 square meter garden.

The home is staffed by experienced psychiatric nursing personnel, and a GP with a diploma in geriatric medicine and a consultant psychiatrist make regular visits. Came to this hospital in an emergency and got great care from nurse Biji, who was lovely and very knowledgeable.

Since craming in the aged while flogging their old seperate site, maintaining high salaries for the management and reduced hospital services while telling everyone it was for their benefit,this place has gone down a lot.
