To the Langford Grange CEO, Tim Humphries and the Director of Nursing, Susan Taylor, the RNs, ENs, PCAs, Physios, Doctors, Chef, Kitchen staff, Cleaners, Laundry staff, Reception staff and Maintenance staff… Please accept my warm-hearted thanks to all of you, who work tirelessly in Rosella…Linda, Mala, Cathy and Natalie and all PCAs… You’re all so special… Caregivers are real angels of mercy. The altruism you show towards the residents is the purest thing on earth. Although my mother (Beryl) was initially resistant/stubborn to moving into Langford, you supported Beryl as she eased into residential care, to have some happier, more comfortable days before her passing. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. I spent days worrying about Mum until she entered your care facility at Langford Grange. You made both our lives much easier, and I appreciate it all. Taking care of the elderly is a challenging job. But you all managed to do it so completely! The way you have all taken care of my mother is beyond any description. I have found comfort in the fact that you were Beryl’s caregivers. Your support and care of my precious mum, including her final passage in life, was complete…with respect, comfort and peace. Thank you all, for your dedication to a duty and responsibility, that so many families are ill-equipped to fulfill for their loved ones….

Both my parents took up residence at Langford Grange recently after struggling at home with mobility issues and, in my mother's case, low vision issues for quite some time. My mother had previously gone into Langford Grange for a 2 week respite stay and had been so impressed with the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, the size and cleanliness of the bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms and of the common areas (all are very homelike in decor} and the quality and amount of food being served that both my parents decided to go into the residence on a permanent basis. The decision has proven to be the right one, especially for my Father. He has never been a joiner but has already attended a bingo session, played cards, attended happy hour and even attended an exercise class and seems much happier than when he was living at his home. None of these activities are forced on you, they are just there if you want to access them. From a family members' perspective, Julie, Sally and Kathy, in particular, have been very helpful in communicating what I needed to know my end in order for them to be admitted and have bent over backwards to assist me if I hadn't understood anything. I now look forward to having more of a social relationship with my parents in the future knowing that their care needs are being met 24/7 so thanks to everyone at Langford Grange for giving me that peace of mind.
