Would never work with these people or let them care for my family ever!.. all i need to say is they are rude, abusive and don’t do what they are paid for, appalling treatment towards clients. Money grabbers is all they are.

Warrigal Goulburn has been accused of misappropriation of funds once given access to clients bank details. They hire the cheapest workers they can - and speaking from personal experience treat their staff extremely poorly. I learnt enough in my brief time working for them to know I don't ever under any circumstances want to end up in such a facility.

I had worked a significant amount of my life as a Registered Nurse, and found this facility (a relative of mine lives there in the low care section) to be one of the rare "better" facilities in the aged care industry. Many of the complaints I've read fail to discern the difference between the nursing profession (or vocation, in the case of NON registered nursing assistants, who work most often in the aged care sector under the supervision of a professional RN), and the aged care INDUSTRY. There is a constant tension between the desire of the nursing professional to provide a standard of care that the profit-driven facility owning industry often simply will not allow, preferring the funds to go in their own pockets. Not so at Warrigal - I was very impressed with the "lifestyle" care environment, and believe that the physical environment and service provision places this facility at the "better" end of the spectrum. Of course, there will always be areas where ever facility needs improvement, and it would be nice if the funding model supported the funding of more professional (registered) nursing positions, which is where patient care and facility operations are really managed and improved, but a Registered Nurse is 2-3 times the cost of a nursing assistant, so until that type of change sweeps through the aged care industry at large, this is about as good as it gets. And at Warrigal, it ain't too bad!!!

This facility was up until the last couple of weeks ago the best aged care facility that I had been in. Staff well organised and very helpful (staff still are helpful) but I don't know what had happened over the last couple of weeks but whatever has been changed the person or people that changed it need to take a long hard look at what has been done, to change the facility for the worse, currently it is broken it reminds me of the movie "The Clockwork Orange". Again absolutely no criticism of the staff on the floor.
