Unfortunately a terminal patient I look after was told by a GP he was ‘doctor shopping’ and was denied critical scripts for pain relief and left in an abhorrent state, what a horrendous lack of care and empathy

Don't bother going here. The medical staff are just a drain on you wallet and the tax payer's wallet. You would get more empathy out of a brick wall if you go there expressing mental health concerns. The doctor may suggest talking to a lawyer.. and wanting to charge you for that advice. What a joke!

I've been activly looking for a new doctor and recently moved. As Ballan is my closest practice now I've seen very few doctor's here. The receptionists are so lovely and very accommodating. To a doctor I have seen, doesn't seem to have an answer when I bring up a question and asked me to make a follow up appointment so they can do more research. This happened more than once. I talked to someone new this week (same place) and she had no interest in my mental or physical health. And got laughed at by her. I was so shocked. Honestly worth the extra fuel money to go back to my previous practice. It was really upsetting to be treated like this when it's a doctor's job to listen and help with your health. Not coming back again, waste of my time and money.

We waited all day and well past our appointment time with my very sick friend, then the doctor just left to go to the age care centre so we did not ever even get to the doctor. The receptionist made no effort to communicate how sick my friend was to the doctor or that we had waited all day. I firmly believe my friend would have been less than 5minutes with the doctor. The receptionist who we had told what was wrong displayed a completely ignorant and callous attitude towards a very sick patient. We watched as she made no attempt to even highlight us or help us to solve our problem, she just allowed my friend’s condition to deteriorate. She was worse than unhelpful; she effectively mislead us allowing us to waste hours of time when we could have got medical attention much earlier. We left and drove to Bacchus Marsh hospital where the care and attention was outstanding.
