A caring and lovely place for my grandad
Juliana Village is a lovely safe comfortable place for the aged. I often visit a friend who resides there. The staff are helpful friendly and smiling. The place is kept clean and tidy. Very pleased.
Wow, Julie Farquhar, General Manager was extremely rude, she definitely doesn't ensure any warmth and community feel. Also, don't be fooled by the lovely tulips and smiling faces on the website, if this lady can treat the average person with disdain, I worry about how she would treat someone who can't defend themselves. Also, in the positive review below, I wonder if James Farquhar is related to Julie Farquhar?
Mother has lived very happily at the Juliana Village for 27 years, in a self care unit. When she became confused and almost blind it was obvious she needed really looking after and Management at the Village quickly moved her into the Hostel section; amazingly quickly, we were impressed. The staff then set about thoroughly assessing her needs and likes and dislikes and are now ensuring she is fed and washed and ALL her washing done plus cleaning of her unit daily - all with a smile; AND she is not the easiest of Mums. They also ensure that she gets to meals and activities, accompanying her all the way and little things, like a manicure and nail polish, are included, plus physio - you know I could not PRAISE THIS VILLAGE AND ITS' STAFF ENOUGH - they are marvellous and maybe if the previous review'ist had taken time to go through the gate and really find out about the Village, her loved one would now be enjoying a better life...... Six months later and Mother is frail and forgetful and blind but the staff continue to care for her beautifully - I know they get paid, that it is their job, but they are angels, patient, patient angels - bless........
Awful feeling when I walked through here, cold vibe. Though a clean place, the service is awful, staff don't seem genuine when helping the elderly. I would never send my parents here.
