This place does not even deserve one star. I would not even put my enemy in this place leave alone my friends or family. The place is horrible from management to cleaning staff. This place should shut down the residents are neglected badly. residents wounds are whipping out of dressing, not being attended for weeks. Management is good at one thing talk/talk and talk.. Staff are over worked and only last months then they walked away. Where is the commission where is needed the most. Pitty the families and residents very very sad…..rooms are boiling hot and they are expected to stay isolated.

I was employed to work at Scottsvale, on a regular term, I was taught a new way in certain areas, that I fully consider of been gratefully today's use. I hoped I brought a higher standard of cooking threw all knowledge of a 20 yr career in commercial cooking. I would like to thank all staff and the blessing of the lovely residents who I will say I miss seeing some days for there KINDNESS. There are moments I have time to time to sometimes wishing I could break lose in the kitchen. I wish everybody a Merry Xmas and we all have a safe year.

Staff dont speak or understand English.. The table cloths are drawsheets that the residents sleep on. The staff dont even explain to the residents what's going on and wo de why the residents can't help

Horrible place to work for Facility Manager is only concerned about the money. Would take PCA off the floor to work as FSA in the kitchen but would then not replace the PCA. As a result residents care would suffer as staff had to work harder to complete tasks and short cuts were taken. The chefs use packet products instead of making item from scatch. Using sponge mixtures and powdered soup mixtures that have minimum nutritional value if any No care taken to produce protein enriched foods which are what the elderly need for health and happiness. No care given to the different needs of the residents. The weekend Chefs personal hygiene needs attention. He will serve food while his nose is running and will just wipe it on his jacket No concern for cross contamination. ⁰ He serves food up using his hands with dirty gloves. He will wipe them on his clothes and continue serving the food. Abusing staff and upseting residents regularly. The Manager of the Facility allows him to do want every he wants. Japara Aged Care facilities are not a place to put your loved ones if you want them to be treated with respect and dignity. I know of a facility that neglected their resident so bad that when the daughter complained they just ignored her. The daughter of the mother took her to the hospital but she couldn't be saved. If the facility did the right thing the mother would have been returned to live with their daughter and live a longer and happier life with better medical and nutritional care than they received at the Japara Aged Care facility

Gross negligence and appalling care. In April 2018 my mother in law walked into Scottvale on her own, aided by a walking frame. Four months later we have transferred her to another facility. We had lost all confidence in Scottvale. She was wheeled out in a wheelchair with pressure sores on both feet . At the new facility the general consensus from the medical staff was that the lack and care of the medical staff at Scottvale was inadequate and of gross neglect. Furthermore we have continual issues from the accounting staff at Japara and are still waiting for refunds after 3 weeks of vacating the facility.
