While the facility looks impressive, surprisingly large on the inside, the care needs improvement. I'm currently visiting Granny in the Transitional Care Unit. The lady next door had pressed her call bell, and was calling out for a nurse for half an hour, desperate for assistance to use the toilet. Nobody responded until I went to the nurses station, the second time, and assertively requested help. The lady in the adjacent bed has been waiting 55 minutes, to be moved up the bed, due to pain and discomfort. A carer came in, turned off the call bell, and did not return. This lovely lady has related many stories of staff not attending call bells. Is there not enough staff on shift, or are the staff not doing their job?
